Default s14 Sr20det questions...

Looking into doing a swap into a 98 240 Sx Se...I was looking at all the different swaps available..Now some of my questions I am sure have been answered but I suck at using the search feature...So here we go.

Is it easier to swap an s14 sr20det into an s14 than is it to swap the s13 sr20det into it...

What would have to be done for the swap as far as electrical goes? I can do everything else by myself I am sure of that, but if it goes into splice this wire with that wire I get a little wiery because I suck at electrical connections. If there is a detailed article or website that would help please point me in the right direction..Just looking for the easiest possible swap into the car. Thanks advance for any help...

the motors physically bolt right in all the same. the intercooler piping routes differently between the two.

the wiring is WAY involved! i sell the harness jobs for when you get your motor. if you want to do the swap yourself, but just have someone knowledgable build the harness, let me know. not only will it be wired for a/c, but it will fit like stock! you'd never know the diff

In my opinion....

1) Go with someone local
2) Someone who will be available to answer questions and get you what you want.
3) Someone that has a good reputation in this business
4) Somewhere where you can go and check out the motor yourself and be active during your own swap and learn if there are problems

Considering all these factors, I recommend Durden Perfab........There are other shops as well. My choice would be Taylor hands down.

IMHO local guy is where its at. Tayor would be able to do what you want. If you could somehow find Estavan He makes wire harness like art. (you would think it was made by nissan) but for your sake seek Taylor.
