Default oil blowby?

what could cause excessive oil blowby on a sr20 if it has a new pvc valve? could it be the rings?

it may just be the fact that u got a new PCV valve and it was clogged before and now its flowing freely....cuz i have an oil catch can on my non boosted engine and it barly ever has to get emptied.....i think its just boosted engines that get all that shit but like i said it may be the fact that u got a new one and the other one was clogged bad or somthin....if thats not it then it sounds like rings....but dont jump to conclutions yet....thats all i can think of tho......

Where is the oil dripping from? When you say that it drips on to the manifold, it makes me think that you've got a breather on the valve cover. Your description says that you have a catch can though. Tell us how you have the valve cover vents, "black can" factory strainer, and crankcase vent.

catch cans dont work unless it's sucked out by a vacuum source. you cant let it just vent out on its own.
