300hp n/a ka 240 internals question
youre shooting for way too high of a number.
its hard to get a ka to 300 hp reliably with a turbo.
if you really want to go all motor, swap a sr20de, it has a better power band, and do a full build.
youll wish you spent the extra 75 a month by the end though.
edit:
you dont even own a 240 yet, but you have all these outlandish goals already set. any reason why you feel you need 300hp?

i forgot to mention in my 1st post that im going for 300 hp at the crank not the ground... and i want so much hp cause i like to set my expextations high and im used to having a 5.0 mustang
3600 pound mustang with 300hp feels the same as a 2500 pound 240sx with 205hp. And NA isn't the way to go on a KA with those goals. Really.

300hp KA without nitrous or boost? Expect a lot of money in custom engine work......race gas only.........not streetable.
Who said the KA rods are good to 500whp? That may be true, but the crankshaft isn't.....it won't last long at those power levels.
KA is a good engine for what it is.....but remember what it was made for and how it was designed.

um...no. try 600 and beyond, there is no aftermarket crank for a KA, and there doesnt need to be. theyre forged and they take the abuse well.

so how WAS it made for?
how was it designed?
and explain that to me without making references to a truck motor.
well imma stick to my original idea but i know it wont get 300 hp at the crank probly. i will end up turboing it i already know that much. i know a 240 wont be the same as a mustang and im only gettin a 240 because of the gas pricing and the insurance. my mustang almost took me under and me g/f was getting pissed that i had no money most of the time because of my car. do any of u guys have any info on a Venom 400 Performance Control Module. like how they work at all? this is where i got my calculations up to 300 hp at the crank tho it is probly a bit off.
When you run the compression high enough to break into the low 200's and above you're going to have to run alot of fuel to keep the A/F ratio safe. High hp N/A motors are not kind to gas mileage. The venom controll module is a piece of shit, stay away.
