Thanks fellas. Im not going as far as a aftermarket rods, arp studs, or headgasket Bryan. Just forged pistons. Im shooting for 350hp so all the other stuff will be overkill for now. I also sort of like the fact of having the headgasket as the "weak" link in the engine incase something decides to not cooperate its just a $50 headgasket and a day or two of labor and not a complete rebuild.
good call, works for me mang. just throwing options out. And now that i know its overpriced that helps to.

isnt the $65 cometic pretty much an aftermarket stock replacement, not really any better than the $45 discount auto ones?
I was also advised that I do NOT need to replace the studs, but if it is a good idea and there is some justification for it other than "you'll be able to more power down with them if you decide in the future" then I suppose I would.

Cometic MLS can be had for $69 plus S/H. MLS are known to withstand power. So much so, that Cometic may discontinue the HP series and just stick w/ the MLS.

I'm in the same boat as Tyler. However, I'm still VERY new to Nissan, but I was under the impression that you should always replace the OEM studs when you do a rebuild because they stretch. ARP are comparatively expensive, but seem like a good option since they can be reused if necessary.
Enthalpy:
You have a good point on the gasket and studs, but what is your opinion of the 'safety factor' afforded by having an OEM head gasket? For the KA experienced, the OEM is probably a waste of time. But for the inexperienced, Tyler may have a point as it may save the engine if something was overlooked.
Epstein:
I've been using Courtesy for my B14 and the prices were about 20% less than local dealers and had a very good experience with their customer service. I haven't priced S13 parts yet...
MaxType 240:
I'll give Pinnacle a call and compare prices with Courtesy over the phone to see who has the best shipped prices on OEM parts. I've also heard good things about IPP, so it nice to see another positive comment on their business.
