how ironic that Ka starts the word KABOOM? well the KA took a big shit last night and damn did it go hard ...ran perfect right before...well going into 3rd gear , i hear a loud wsssssshhhhhhhh noise, kinda sounded like a bov but i know that wasnt it popped hood and radiotor house(top) had snapped off the end tank and broke the end tank.so at the time i was talking to my friend Kailey and she's like whats wrong ..my fucking car just blew up...i need water and tools...well at the time it was getting dark and im in Dade city(ruarl) pitch dark except for my flashlight..she lives in Z-hills so 10min wasnt to bad to wait..fill it up and it seems fine...i told her to follow me and make sure i atleast make it to a place where there is light..well it barely made it that far...sounded like a piece of the timing giude or timing chain was in the motor , making the worst noise i have ever heard , then all of a Sudden BOOM! rpm's staright to zero and motor completely shut off, coast inot a neighboorhood off of curley road. 6 different spots of oil underneath and oil covering everything . so strap it to her doge ram and tow it back to my house.luckily this girl was there with a hitch and tits for me to stare at

if all goes as planned SR hopefully next weekend but not sure yet ..will no more throughtout the week..wish me luck

that sucks. depending on the damage of the KA, i might want it, but dont need the tranny.

im thinking timing chain failure right now, possible oil pump failure which looks to be a possible thrown rod , shouldbe takin apart wednesday to find out..

Why do so many of you guys have problems with your KA ... mines has nearly 200k miles on the original engine,and it's still running fine.

its not that this was a bad motor..at all by any means.ran perfect since ive had it since october 03 to well saturday.i take the fault for not checking the engine when i heard unusall noises, i had the timing guide rattle before>so i took off the guide but it was already broken,well since then i still had a rattle and i ignored it >could have been a piece of the timing guide fallinginto the motor, i dunno.something big happened "big" at once because there were absolutely no signs of any trouble> went thru gears with ease and never really missed a beat. well now on to SR20DET..as jonas said yea ive been wanting one since i saw his and bretts.not that i wasnt going to do it> it was time> now im forced to do it now because its my daily driver. sorry for the wining and bitching

had a cam put in the wrong way
ran with little oil
ran with too much oil
had water sucked in it
been misshifted
bounced the revlimited ungodly amounts of time

and its still a champ
i wish it would blow up
