Default KA intake manifold worth it?

I have stock twin cam KA. im looking for something that can increase the power a lil. i hear KA intake manifolds can add up to 30sumthin more hp. was thinking getting that and some bigger injectors and a rom tune then start the saving for turbo but if anyone has this is it worth the bang for the 400-500 bucks?

Start w/ an underdrive pully then a flywheel. Free up the power you already have.

Intake manifold is a helper mod in my opinion. It'll give very little gains to a stock engine, and make more power as your power level rises. You won't get 30hp from an intake manifold ever. I doubt even if you were boosted with 400hp. Boost Designs makes wild claims, like 25-30hp from underdrive pullies.

A friend of mine is doing a KA-T. He wanted to start with clutch and flywheel. A lot of people didn't recommend him to change the flywheel because it is going to affect crankshaft. is that true? also, are there any good flywheels you know of?

i dont know about that. my friends 2.05litre honda prelude (that bastardized b21) got 21whp from just boring the TB and intake plenum.
just by adding my 3" short ram intake i noticed very noticable power increase. it doesnt fall on its face at 5800rpm anymore. it now pulls close to 7000rpm. Long stroke motors love to breath and can give a rats ass about velocity which is needed for your short stroke motors cause the dwell time is longer on them. a lot of these things you can get done for very cheap at your local machinist. doesnt even have to be an auto performance machinist. a good machinist with a Standard Modern lathe and a Bridgeport can make you just about anything.
now that 3\25-30hp gain from pullies is BS.

i havent heard of any problems with light weight flywheels. people say it sets off the harmonics and what not. but i have several friends than have been runing 9 and 12lbs flywheels for years now with no problems. im a big fan of AASCO flywheels. they started off making them for porsches in the 70s and my friend Mike Conte uses them for his GT3-R spec porsche in le mans races before he retired. hmmm i just checked out his page. i guess he just ran the feb 1 daytona le mans. but they also sponsored the realtime integras and stuff like that.
