my brother (cyanide) runs greddy type RS. great design, sound is between the chirpy S and the whooshy R. mid-low pitched, just sounds like rush of air not this squeaky HKS SSQV/type S bs.

my 1st gen dsm bov works fine too for $25, and you can either crush them or do the secondary port mod to run in upwards of 25psi if u want. and the sound is okay.

for function, it's either forge motorsports shim like epstein said, or the anti-stall 'configurable' BOV from ATP Turbo.

I will need something that will be compatible with a Garrett GT pushing 18psi, and I prefer a 'whoosh' over the 'chirp'.

John, your HKS, is that the $379 one?

I adjust it, and it sounds good for 10 minuete's, and then, all of sudden, nothing at all...ever. I can go re-adjust it a little bit, but than again in 10 mins....nothing. BY adjustments I mean a 1/4 to 1/2 turn. The spring doesn't seem to be sticking....so I give up. I bought a turbo car, and I want to hear it. Time to find something that works.

I got the Blitz SS DD. That's Super Sound Dual Drive for those who actually care. It's been a good BOV, the sound is not loud but still audible enough for passengers to ask about it.

Tial is the stuff of heros. No funny sounds, just 15 lbs of compressed air leaving a 360 degree opening. Tials are picky though, you have to specify the correct spring. I used an 11 lb spring (nothing to do with the amount of boost I was running) and it worked fine. The spring it came with (7lb spring) was not even strong enough to hold it closed under vaccum.
