1800 sounds a little too cheap for a clip

If I were going to buy a clip for $1800, I'd need 2 hours with a compression/leakdown tester, gas can/fuel pump, and my tool box. Minimum. Plus I'd be ready to walk away disappointed, too.

By the same token, there's no sense in spending money for the sake of spending money. I really don't care what the thing costs, I want documentation and to know I'm getting something quality. I want mileage, how long has it sat, compression, leakdown, pop the valve cover, check the turbo, condition of oil,... I want to see the thing run! The only place I know of like this is Jarco, and they want 2899 for one.

Just because you payed $4000 for a redtop clip doesn't mean you're not going to get screwed. The informed and cautious buyer spends their money on quality.
