anyone know what the apexi n1 sounds like when u cut out the resonator? this will be on an sr... also for the greddy DD... isnt it basically pipe and then resonator and then pipe again?

 

the dd would sound like a straight pipe with no muffler.
the apex'i would probably be slightly quieter.

 

i cut out the resonator on my hks hi-power and welded in a stainless steel pipe instead. i didnt really notice that big of a difference. it was just a lot more throaty. if that makes any sense. it should sound good though. its not going to make it sound bad, look at it like that

soooo what if i took like a 3 ft 3 inch diamter pipe, and then put a resonator, and then another 3 feet of 3 inch diamter pipe NO muffler... isnt that basically what the greddy DD is except its a dual?

 

the DD has mufflers too.

but it is louder on a n1 with no resinantor.
mine has no resinator.

what i thought the greddy DD tip was just like a polished piping but not really a muffler...

yeah and in those 2 end pieces... are they muffled tips or just fancy end tips...

 

dual n1 has actual muffler tips.
