driveshaft...have someone in it and just put it in gear, you'll be able to see a sever wobble if the slightest thing is wrong, just test drive it after you replace the wheel bearing, and tc rods...no need to diagnose something without a problem.

PS:where'd you order your wheel bearing from? how much?

I would like to thank all of you for your suggestions.

I finally had time tonight (starting my 6 day vacation ) to really get under my car. The wheel bearing that I thought was a little loose, isn't loose at all. When I was doing an in-out mation, I was actually moving the coilover a little. So this got me wondering. I had already visually inspected the front tires, but I went further and found some ODD treadwear on the passenger front tire. I've never seen tread wear like this. So I took RubberBurner's advice and swapped front tires with some stockies, and took her for a ride. That was one hellava smooth ride. Guess I need new front tires. Also still gonna order TC Rods.

Thanks
Charles

and I agree, but seeing as how I was planning on having the car on a lift this week, I figured I'd like to check over everything. I don't get chances to use the MAcdill AFB Lifts everyday.

but...it's all good

Charles

hey charles, i thought about it earlier...
are you sure that when the prev. owner did the 5 lug conversion that they pressed s14 ball joints into the s13 spindle?

not positive it would cause a vibration, but it certainly wont help.

are these the same front tires that you used at dday5?
that'll be your problem....especially if you're using tires with a lower treadwear rating.
they won't get burnt up like the rears do, but they will wear in strange ways and end up unbalanced

I used those DUNLOP FORMULA-R D01J in DDAY3, I-4Drift, and DDAY5, not to mention I drove on them daily (50 miles daily). Yep...they need to go. Surprised they lasted this long. I think I-4Drift put the hurting on them...it was like a NASCAR track....LEFT, LEFT, LEFT, LEFT, LEFT, right.
