Q45 Brake Qs
I want to do this conversion ASAP. Just want to make sure I got everything correct and i'm not missing anything. I have a 95 240 (5 lug) I can use a 95 Q45 caliper and rotor if im correct. From what I hear these two will just bolt on? Or do I need different bracket bolts or drill the holes larger? Do the stock brake lines work? I know I should get ss lines so does anyone know where to get them cheap? and if theres anything im missing please feel free to add. thanks!
ok , since your car is already 5 lug then it shoudl just be a bolt on affair. just be warned, there are 2 different size's of Q45 brakes. mine are off a 97 so i had to drill the bolt holes out in the spindle to make way for the bigger Q's bolts. but the pre 97 should be the smaller and use the stock s14 sized braket bolts. if these are the ones yo have then its all bolt up. the stock lines will work too. i just bought SS lines for my s13 and they work fine. i do need a z32 master though. too much front brake bias.
one more note, the pre 97 Q brakes will fit under 15inch wheels, but the 97 later will not!!!

so I can just purchase a set of 4 ss lines for the stock 240 brake system since it'll also work for the front Q45 right? also the bolts that hold on the stock 240 brakes, will those work for the q45 calipers? or do i have to get the bolts for a q45 caliper?
