well my engine has no spark so i replaced the coil and problem was fixed, but 3 days later the coil took a shit and car died again. My other issue is at night my battery light comes on and when I would accelerate hard the battery light would start blinking at me. Could someone help me understand my problem?

Well sources have told me that the alternator is most likely the problem but I just wanted to be sure. If anyone has any other ideas let me know.

 

the light is tell you the alt is going to die

 

when the alternator produces less that 50% percent efficiency, the light will come on. This will cause more voltage to go to the coil making it spark harder, right until it dies.

 

Thanks guys I am saving for an alternator and sadly riding a mountain bike never felt so depressing.
