2 240sx questions
Ok the first one is about my window. Its stuck down.removed the door panel and the little silver box still clicks but the window wont go up.Any one know how to fix this or have a spare window motor laying around.nissan is too proud of theirs and wants $467.
#2.installed a hot shot header on my car and now the car runs like ass.almost like a vacuum leak or something.but i didnt touch anything on the intake side of the motor. It remindes me of when i had a leak in my intake manifold gasket.it wont idle and to keep it running you have to keep giveing it gas.its connected to the stock exhaust if that matters.
Any help on these problems would be much appreciated.gracias

I'm assuming when you say the little silver box you mean the power window amp. More often than not that is the problem. These parts are always having problems. I had the same thing happen to my s14 and my s13. Nissan wants about $100 for the part, but if you can handle a soldering gun it's a very simple fix. There is actually a write up on 240sx forums.com. Let me see If I can find it. Also if you need any help let me know it's seriously like a ten minute fix.

welcome to exhaust leaks...i still have my shitty exhaust leak, doesn't seem much can be done. i finally found out where my leak is coming from but can't find a way to fix it...the welding on the flanges was done a bit poorly on this hotshot header...i bought some lock washers and well if i tighten it...it's perfect for 2-3 days but then gets loose again. I tried using this copper gasket seal shit but it just burned off...i've been looking for a high tempature one but can't seem to find one...something u just have to live with...I MIGHT just have those fuckers welded by a mechanic.
check your fuel filter. when i put on my hotshot header my car got slower too, and it was because i was running lean due to the increase in air flow and having a clogged fuel filter. once i replaced the filter it ran liked a rapped ape.

Car is running.apparently while wrestling with the egr tube to put it in the bung in the header, a bolt on the egr on the intake manifold came out.got it taken care of and im happy with how the car feels.now i need an exhaust, although i really like the wzy the car sounds now (injen intake+hot shot header+high flow cat)i want the extra power. Also during my test drive i got a little too cocky and bit my first curb.So if any one happens to have a rear lower control arm for the passenger side laying around. Please lmk i will be more than happy to purchase it from you.
Glad I could help out w/ the vacuum/exhaust leak, dman EGR, need to lose that stuff
Jay, perhaps torquing down the bolts in problem area to non-problem area will work for you...
I solved a lot of leaks this past weekend thankfully
