ok WTF is the deal with getting a SR tranny in????????
i have been fighting this damn thing all day, and i ended up punching a hole in my damn AC line.
AAHHHHHHHHHhhhhggggggggg..
guess this means i can take out the KA compressor now =(
@#$%^&*()
do i take a small sledge and bang out the tunnel a bit? about .5 inches on either side? mainly the starter area? or just pull it and intall it as one?
i need a amber bock, or 6.
tia.

New Castle...and its easier if you slip it in as one peice. If me and my friend can wreastle and swap clutches in 5 hours,(I am a small person, asking anyone that knows) I think your clutch or input shaft might be off. Try taking the tranny outta the way taking off the pressure plate and disk, try reinstearting the clutch alighment tool and put back on the clutch. That is the only way I could see one of these things not going in. Good luck
no chin, the motor wont tilt far enough back, i can't even get the input shaft in the clutch disk. im lucky it was able to squeez in to the center of the pressure plate area. i have done this a dozen or so times on my Z and other's Zs NA and TT and never had a problem like this.
AFAIK guys the mounts are stock KA ones. but they look like nismos from the pics i have seen. so i don't know. i put a jack under the front of the motor, with a board, not to dent it. and tilted it back. im sooo Fn close, about .25- .3 of an inch then the damn AC line started hissing.
i'll try again tomorrow for an hour, if i can't get it to go in. im yanking it. i have already spent enough time on it that i could have already done that. =\
thanks for the help guys.
