Default %#$% SPEC CLUTCHES!!!! (clutch problem

Yeah, so im out testing my new tires. And uumm like I noticed how like stuffs seemed like I was bruning tires, but the tires werent making noises. So I though about it...F#cking sh!t meng. I think I killed another spec clutch! When I first installed my engine I had the spec 2, but after a 1.9 60' at the track it died on me...great...So what I do I do, I put more faith into spec and get the stage 3 assuming that this would meet any needs I might have for the time being. Well I have had this for like I dunno 7-8 months and the bitch is slipping. I am going to personally call spec tommrow, and tell them about their product and how they should do something about it. If they are reluctant to fix their mistake then I am never EVER going to buy or recomend any spec product. This is rediculous.

On the list of new clutches im looking at its. OS Gilken twin plate, Exceddy single or ACT. But it will depend on what spec decides to do with my problem...Im tired of taking the tranny off...

Did you break it in properly? We have sold many a spec 3 on SRs with zero problems. Spec 2s are junk

ACT is crap BTW....couldnt pay me to use another one. Exedy is nice. OS gilken is good but harsh on you and all the parts

Alright, I know im up here right now, but I really really wanna have my car in top shape for dday 4. So im going to leave college early here on thursday and head stright down. I have an extra used clutch that I found in my dad's engine (like a 10 puck copper disk. Apparently if you have air tools and stuffs it can be changed in like 2 hours or so. If anyone ANYONE is willing to come to my resuce I would be in great debt. I havent had my car running soild for a dday yet! Its like bad luck...lol
1st dday my car acted funky and suppered on some runs, the second one my car was blowing black smoke from a bad ECU and MAF wiring. And dday 4 my clutch is slipping!!! Either way I am going to drift dammit, but it would be nice to have a working clutch.

spec= garbage
ACT= Gold.

This is based on my experience. Spec 3 4 puck on my 387rwhp 315tq sr was slipping and felt teh gay, after a by the book break in, and 3 months of saturday night driving. Spec rates this clutch at something rediculous like 400 ft/lbs, yea right!!!

Act heavy duty PP with STREET organic disc rated at 260 flywheel torque held 361rwhp and 363 tq on my KA-T powered car before slipping, and being in my car for over a year at power levels beyond their rating. Then I upgraded to their Extreme PP with still just a STREET organic disc rated at just over 300flywheel torque, and it held 412hp and 412tq, allowed me to go 11.9@ 118 on MT et streets, and never slipped one time. Not to mention it had a manly clutch feel, unlike the super soft fairy spec.
