Ok when my friend hits his brakes his wheel will shift inwards towards the driver, and when he lets off the brakes it shoots back with a loud clank noise. I think it might be the ball joint but im not sure. Here is a pic on the direction the wheel moves when he hits the brakes.

 

where are these located, nothing looks rotted or anything.
It looks like its not the tie rod but whatever holds the tie rod in looks like it moves.-
Could that be loose? if so, how do i tighten it. thansks

No, im almost certin its TC rods. expeically if they havent been replaced yet. That is the one factor that will control caster (movement of the wheel twards the rear) And mine bolts were lose on the TC rods and it made clunking noise. I tighten them and they were fine, however I have poly mounts for them. And will soon upgrade to sperical.

 

how much and where do u buy TC mount/rods.?is there a diagram for the mount. ik dont know where that is. thanks for all your help
