Who is building it ?
Honestly I would leave everything the exat same, except maybe for the motor mounts. I would save as much money as possible in order to put every thing i had towards the actual motor BUILD

9:1 forged pistons are nice, very nice. How much are rods? I know that you can get eagle rods for the 4g63 for low 300's, if you can get them for that cheap, it makes good sense to buy them as cheap insurance if you're ever going to put out any decent power in the future.

soo true.....

this question should be asked to the person building the motor.
( the very same question your avoiding...)
several very capible " tuners "(second worst word after Ricer) in
our area but my experience has been with :

Martin at XAT RACING 813-875-7223
or superduper Taylor DURDEN 's FAB.
both TAYLOR & Martin has done superb work for me
and are very eager to build a motor for you that
is more bomb-proof then a may-pop.
it's a great question and with people like Matt , Scott ,
"whitekong" hiachi BILL , Charles @ Z-fever and the rest
of the TR community.
there are many great suggestion's but you should focus those questions ALSO with the builder ( to determine their abilty ,
knowledge and eagerness to perform the work needed.. )
watch out for bells and whistles ..........
you need a TODA stroker ... i'm sorry thats me

lillzilla i don't see how i'm avoiding the question of who is building the motor, sorry i don't spend all day on the computer waiting for the next post to reply to

and to answer that question, glenn is building the motor, have enough money for the rebuild and for the extra parts, i.e. all of the gaskets and other stuff, already has forged pistons and rods. all of the basic stuff has ben accounted for, thats why i was asking what else i should do while the motor is out
