Default is there a special tool to take out the transmission/differential bolt?

What size allen tool is used for the transmission and differential bolt? Is there a special tool for this? if so, where can I purchase one? thanks for the input...

sorri bout that, i was referring to the bolts that you have to take out when you're changing the gear/diff oil... grrrrr I'm hoping they're not seized in htere...

not an allen

its a 1/2" impact chuck size.

well, ill just assume this is for a 240.
use a 1/2 ratchet to loosen, and tighten the drainplug, and i usually fill it inside the car, and remove the shifter.

yeah yeah, i but DO NOT use an impact wrench, easily done like dr. octagon said or you can buy a hand pump for like 5 bucks at Discount to do it from underneath the car and you'll probably need the pump anyways for the diff.

Either way it will be fun and messy.
