s13 to s 14 swap question.
so, i just finished swapping my ka24e to an s14 ka24de.
the only problem is i have no tach.
the twin cam cluster i have doesnt have the same connectors as my HUD cluster.
so.. i swapped the tach into the HUD cluster, but it isnt working.
so, do i have to get a DE HUD cluster, or is there some other problem to look for.
any help appreciated.

HUD clusters and analog clusters have different sub harnesses. The sub harness is onlya foot or so long.
What engine harness did you use? How did you wire the dash connector (near the ECU?

well, i bought a wrecked car with the s14 motor already swapped in.
im pretty sure its using an s13 harness, since it is still using the s13 distributor.
im having a friend with alldata pull me the wiring diagram to trace the wires tonight.
should i splice in the different pigtail off of the non-hud cluster, or just get an hud cluster?
also, all the other gauges work, ie: speedo, and temp/fuel. just no tach.
