Engine Lab of tampa has excellent equiptment...equivellant to a few million dollars probably...thier staff on the other hand has gone down hill, i had an engine bored .020 over about 3 maybe 4 years ago and it was excellent... but more recently 6-8 months ago, I had one bored .040 and it was less than satisfactory. one cylinder was .030 over, and the others were .039, and .042 (barely off), but stilll...that equipment (if properly used) is hard to mess up on. Granted...they made it up by getting a new (stock) block and doing it right. Im not bashing them in anyway...just telling about my experience.

I had a good experience with Engine myself a year or so back. They bored my B18C1 block over .25 and it came out flawless. Nice facility as well. Maybe you could talk to TR member 0WHP I think his name is who works there to get a feel about how they are running these days if you decide to go that route.

How was the piss poor standardization realized? I'm hoping they have a system of checks and balances, having senior machinists inspect the work prior to customer delivery. If that's the case, then I'm onboard w/ them.

If you double-checked their work and found the flaws, that's another story...
