Question about SUBS in my 90 Z32
Drill a .5" diameter hole on the firewall next to driver side fender. There're other ways to wire battery cables, but I think this is the easiest. Connect 2 power cables to positive
Edit: How do these tools end up with "supercars" and don't know reading comprehension?

#3.....I posted the question so that I could find the BEST spot to drill the hole if I had to, or if there was another way to run the wire. In no way was I ever denying the fact that the concept of drilling the hole was not straightforward.
Please, if your going to post a flame, take the time to read the posts before hand and know what your talking about when you do it.

OK, here's a more detailed description of the hole drilling procedure. As it says, drivers side of the firewall close to the fender, therefore, find a spot in that general location that you can drill a hole without the following happening as a result:
1) Drilling through important components like electrical wires, steering column, carpet, etc.
2) Having the wire be visible after it is run through the firewall (hence the hole was drilled too low)
Edit: I'm not flaming, well maybe a little, but people need to excercise some common sense sometimes and think about what it is they are trying to do and just do it. It ought not take 2 pages of responses to get a battery cable inside the cabin.

instead of driling a hole, which may be too advanced for you, just run the wire from the battery, out of the cowl area, tape it to the roof, and run it into the trunk.
that way you know you didnt drill the hole in the wrong place.

thanks matt, that's a big complament comeing from you.
personsonally, I HATE running power cable over the motor. so i ran mine down the hole next to the batt, and pulled back the pass side back wheel shroud, pulled back the carpet, and used a wire hanger from the cabin, through the frame rail, up to the inner fender/wheel well area and taped the cable to it and pulled it in there. but i hate drilling hole and i like it as clean as i can make it. but i doubt if this guy can do that.. so F it.
i just did almost the same thing to the 240 yesterday when i mounted the batt in the trunk, except it was through the gromit in the wheel well.
guess im a fish giver too now. someone shoot me..
odds are he still has no idea WTF to do.
you can see a large red cable in the 2nd pic in my sig that runs to the left of the batt and down the side.... :sigh:
