Well yesterday I got a 89 240sx and there is a little bit of problems like the gas tank wont open. No matter how many times I pull the lever it wont open how do I fix this?

 

Welp nevermind I have no battery so therefore it wont open derrrr.

 

See if the line is connected all the way, it will involve pulling up some carpet.

Either tighten the bolt back into place, on the section where you would originally push it down. Follow the cord to where you can no longer see it, which will be behind the rear seats on the passenger side and see if its cut anywhere.

Also have a friend try and open it while you push on the lever. When i replaced my lever my gas door didn't work becuase the bolt was in the wrong position. That happened to me, becuase the bolt wasn't tight enough and slipped the wrong way, which made the hatch/gas door not accessable.

Also since you just got it, do you realize that you push down on the handle, not pull up?
