in my experience with honda short shifters, i installed a b&m in a friends crx, and it had the 3 different throw settings...
it wouldnt stay in one spot with the c clip, and i ended up having to tack weld it in place.
not the the nissan shifters have that adjustment, but it just shows poor build quality.

Have you ever driven a Mustang with an aftermarket shifter (Pro 5.0, Steeda Tri-ax, ect)? Those cars have noticable vibration and gear whine akin to a FIA rally car. I just installed my B&M today in the 240 and it is nothing short of awesome. The OBX is a flaming pile of crap that I wouldn't reccomend to my worst enemy. It moved up and down, caused missed shifts and spun around like a top. The cup at the bottom had disintigrated and transmission fluid flew out of the top like a fountain. I would have rather had a stock shifter over the OBX pile.

I took Jeff240sx for a ride in it and he didn't notice any whine...and I had the center console out with just the dust boot covering the shifter mechanism itself.

Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

i know its not a nissan but i have a B&M in the celi, i love it. confident feel in the throw. easy feel on engagment. its a little heavier than stock and takes a minute to get used to but definitely a plus. just thought i'd throw in my 2 cents

i think the main design flaw with the honda one was just using too small of a c clip to control throw.. it shifts solid though.

My all time fav car/shifter combo was a world class T5 with a Pro 5.0 base and Tri-ax handle. I don't need no stinkin clutch!
