Default The SR swap

into the Z32 makes for a very well balanced car, at least the ones that Martin produced while at ZFever. I would not have been a proponet of it had I not seen those.

As far the RB swap, its just to costs inhibitive. Several, have tried on TTNet or entertained the prospect there of but ended up pulling out. The one Z32 RB I have seen was fit into the car horribly complete with requisite pimple bubble hood.

i dont really see too many advantages to swapping in a way smaller motor.
i mean, it would be way easier to work on, but thats about it.

I thought about a SR swap once but I couldn't bring my self to build a "same make hybrid" again. The SR has advantages but it's nothing that could ever change my mind about the 2 motors. The SR has more potential stock for stock, but that's comparing a FI motor to a NA motor. It's also easier/cheaper to make more power but that quickly falls apart when the HP starts climbing. The VG may not be as powerful in NA form, but it has more potential once you turbo it.

While FI may be a replacement for NA displacement, but the bigger motor will still outshine the smaller one given equal power adders (turbos,n2o, etc.)

*edit* I'm only talking motor to motor. How it works in different cars is an entirely new subject

less tourq stock for stock. for the same amount of money to MAX OUT a DE, you can have the SR with a great bit more hp and tq. and a bit lighter in the nose. but hey. what do i know.

Default Eh...

Not so much cutting with a VG30DETT to drop in as it is plumbing, hardware and wiring. Now to accomodate an RB or even an SR there is some "cutting". Bottom line is the VG30DETT swap is possible but expensive, an RB swap is impractical for all intensive purposes and a SR swap is slightly cheaper than a TT conversion. Its all relative and none of its easy. My advice if you want a TT, buy a TT and rebuild it.

kinda yeah, there are 2 in devlopment. more like a box like the Cimas. one i have seen clears the stock hood, the other is working on it.

no need for cutting on a VGdett swap. it's all the same body.
