Default Need advice on exhausts

I curently have a 90 240sx with a 2.5" custom muffler shop cat-back, which keeps getting me tickets. The actual muffler is some APC universal muffler but that is besides the point. I need a muffler or exhaust system that performs well, sounds deep, but doesnt attract that much attention. And not some $400 turbo cat-back.
Thats asking a lot but i know someone has the answer i seek!!

Ung. N1, huh? Bandwagon car with the bandwagon exhaust. 5Zigen Fireball is my favorite for 2.5" NA.

First, make sure you're running a cat. Sometimes they've been hollowed out. NA cars with no cat are LOUD. If you did want to spring for something nice and quiet, 60mm Greddy SP. If you have to have something cheap, get a Magnaflow put on from a muffler shop with a resonator in the midpipe.

ExMag features:
#quietest exhaust note on the market (most applications)
# refined stealth like appearance
# ceramic coated mandrel bent piping
# dyno proven gains in horsepower and torque
# engineered in Japan
# signature RS-R exhaust tip
# 80mm piping diameter

With the street performance enthusiast in mind, RS-R developed the ExMag exhaust line to provide powerful gains in horsepower and torque while retaining a quieter exhaust note. It is a well known fact that it is extremely difficult to produce an exhaust system that makes good power without the excessive noise. However, through extensive R&D at RS-R Headquarters in Japan, all ExMag systems have been dyno proven to provide significant power increases over similar exhaust systems. Our "Exhaust Magic" lineup offers an excellent alternative to the noisy "coffee can" style of exhausts.

If you're tired of getting tickets and citations for excessive noise, this is the exhaust system you need. The classic styling and stealth like design will also help keep your car off the radar.

Yeah, Ex Mag is a very badass exhaust for S13, but they're about $550. My brother was on the waiting list for the initial release, but they kept pushing the release date back. He went with a Bltiz Realize TT instead. Paired with a 3" Catco cat (and 3" DP) on his SR, it's very quiet.

Both of those exhausts are 3" diameter and expensive, which is why I didn't suggest if for his NA application.
