Default Well, its over for now.

The insurance company and I reached an agreement on my burned up 240. I signed the title over to them the other day (they would not allow me to keep salvage rights, and would not tell me where its being auctioned...so someone will stumble upon a gem). I decided that I needed to be.......responsible...for once. I constantly have to borrow trucks to deliver bikes, or to pick up parts so I bought an 01 Blazer Xtreme. It has a class three hitch so I can tow my own trailer now. Time to not be able to go so fast...and I figured that since I have to be slow...why not do it while rolling on 20" chrome rims...and while having 20's why not have the truck...lets say damn near tucking those 20's so the drop spindles and other assorted goodies are on the way. Going to try to leave this thing alone as far as performance goes...but an LS1 with 4speed auto will slide right in.

yea, I asked them about buying the car back. I guess they "have the right of refusal" and said considering they were giving me about twice of what a 240 blue books out at they were going to refuse. I will hit up some pix of the truck this week before I drop it (the 20's are already on it). I also need to get some pics of the new paint on my R1, so it will be next to it....this paintjob is outta control.

Ha, Ha, yeah i guess there would be a billion x infinty chances of it being auction off through sidiscosouth. Well, in that case you would need to somehow find out who auctions off the insurance cars up there. Sadisco may operate up there also(they're rather large. Down here there are a few and usually you can ask the wrecker what yard/company its going to. Even most insurance companies will tell you if your local claims adjuster and you aren't on bad terms.

Sounds like it worked out OK for you, besides the salvage.. usually if an insurance company adds for parts on a total loss they are not going to let you keep the parts they just added for. Some states are strict about salvage retention. Michigan has some crazy title laws from what I have dealt with.
