L28 ~ same length as an RB26 or so.

should fit, but will be close.

Good question. I assume he was attempting it cause he had somehow got his hands on a 2.8 turbo and a 240 with a blown KA.

I guess it would still be a step up but I too wonder if the gains will be worth the hassle.
