Hi, i was wondering what coilovers would be best for a 96 Nissan 240sx for under 800 bux.. Not to sound like a ricer, but i need the coilovers to make my car as low as possible for under 800.. thank in advance
because i dont want to bounce all over the place faggot..
i also wanted to buy your wheels in your signature.. but i guess i'm to much of a ricer for them too, thanks bud

i'd like to be able to raise it up and go to autocross events also.
cliff notes: best quality suspention that will allow me to go as low as possible for under or around 800 dollars.
didnt think it was that hard..

don't mind Matt, he does that to everyone! The only new coilovers I can think of in that price range are Tein Basics. They should be height adjustable, but I'm not sure how low they go. You can get better used Teins for $800, but you have to find them.
With all of the low cars in your sig, I'm sure you know all about lowering = on bumpstops = mega camber.

240s dont have much sus travel in the first place, lowering them makes it worse, and dumping them = f'd up car. Unless you buy quality coilovers, that have a shortened shock body, giving you more sus travel, but those dont fit in your budget, so either spend money on quality components or better yet, just leave it at a reasonable height so you dont destroy the car. take advice from those who do it all the time or ruin your car, your call

Tein basics don't run shortened bodies? Either way, they don't come with adjustable top hats. So, you'd be on your own for front camber correction. Raising and lowering your car all the time means a lot of trips to the alignment shop, too.
Also be aware that you're going to run into problems grinding the wheels on the frame and various harnesses in the fender wells. That's a free mod though, as long as you have a hammer and a soldering iron.
My brother only has a Pro-kit (-1.5"), and he drags the frame and bumpers constantly! I couldn't imagine it "slammed".

yeah tein basics is your best bet... dont expect ALOT of performance out of them... or you can also buy my set up which will slam your ride... then i can go tein HE... pm me... other wise just cut your springs and wait for everything to blow up eventually... its not that bad... its only psychological
