Many ways to do it.......different routes to take.......most of em should agree on following.......

1) z32 mafs
2) bigger turbo
3) bigger injectors 740cc
4) front mount
5) boost controller
6) tuning and dyno time by the RIGHT PROFESSIONAL (this can make worlds' of diference)
7) intake
exhaust
9) Fuel pump
10) Standalone or custom tuned ECU

other stuff to consider
1) greddy intake or similar
2) upgraded radiator/e fans
3) brake upgrade (z32 or other)
4) cams
5) headgasket (metal)
6) exhaust manifold (upgraded turbo will likely require this anyway)
7) lsd
suspension (coilovers or good aftermarket spring/shock combo)
9) BOV
10) Nice upgraded clutch (Spec or ACT)

You can get 400 hp at the crank with properly sized injectors and a big enough turbo/IC.

If I was shooting for that much HP I would prolly start with a build up at the crank though.

400 whp is a lot to ask of the stock block for an extended period of time. Lesser setups have definitly killed SR's. I'd add pistons to the list, personally. If you're going stock block, I'd shop around for the cleanest motor you can find.

400 is alot to ask, im sure if you rode in a 250 whp SR swap you'd be more than willing to rethink your goals, however, a GT25R with a good fmic, fuel injectors, fuel pump, tuning, and the other knick knacks should get ya there

Oh your damn right, thats the direction I'm heading in. Acutally with a .86 you'll be closer to 400whp on pump gas, .64 you'll have a quicker spool and from what I've been told is so much more desirable to drive...but will put you closer to the 360-380ish range(from what I've read on other peoples setups)running an external wastegate.
