Well today when going to school the weridest thing happen to my car.I drving it made a clikc clikc noise as if the CV joints where bad. So I turn around and head back to my friends house and to take a look at it at the last turn the whell came off and the bolts that where holding it snap in 1/2. As I seen the rim roll in to someones yard. I made the turn at like 5mph and it justt came off. So the fender is bent hood and bumper were mess up and damage to the engine to. Well talk to the peoples at the shop and they said its looks like a total loss. There gose my RWD days.

 

so what happened? the wheel came off and that totalled the car???

 

it casue damage to the body and the axle and engine.

 

Woot! CV joints on a RWD. I think I need to replace mine. Oh.. wait.. nm.

hey was saying that it sounded like a what a CV would sound like going bad, but yeah it was pretty bad, the people who where with him said they had thought it was a flat tire, they had told me when i showed up, they said they had stoped checked all the tires, everything was fine, so i guess he was on his way back home because it started acting funny as was gonna drop his friends back off at home, so when he was rounding the corner to drop them off in front of thier house, and bam 2 lug nuts/studs snaped and the wheel went rolling in the opposite direction and it had enough force from it dropping onto the pavement, moved the whole drivers side front end of car backwards about a 1/2 and inch, and ruining his whole front axel, and this and that, so pretty much it was in bad shape. BTW it was the front drivers side wheel.

 

Thats some terrible luck, do you have any pictures of the dmg?

 

s13's do have cv constant velocity joints, but they are called halfshafts

 

we didnt have a digi on hand, but someone got some pics on thier camera, and they should have them later on..maybe brian(lilaz....) will post them up when he gets a hold of them...but yeah its not really pretty, we had to get like 6 people to lift the thing to get the rim back on thier to just be able to roll it outa the middle of the road, we could only attach one lug on thier cause 2 where completly off and 1 was completly striped, so we had to lift it, put a jack under there and then try to secure the wheel on there, so we put the jack under the car and rolled the beast into his friends yard...where it now sits untill the tow truck comes to takes it to be looked at. its a sad sight.

Well the car is sitting in the lot of Bertsmith Peoples over took a look at and they are like it looks like its totaled. Well when it got to the lot the fender was cracked even more.
