Ok ill be working all this summer and i have wanted to jump on the bandwagon....ill be making 6.50 and hour working about 6 hours a day and 4 days a week...so i want to get a s13 and drop a SR in it just cuss there cool....so say i find a nice s13 for about 1.5k how much would a full SR drop cost...installation harnesses and everything...thanks for all your input

 

A basic sr swap package will cost about 4k+ from a shop like xat and others........

you need to work more or it will take a while.......do the math....

24 hrs/week X 6.50/hr = 156.00 ( let's take this # just as a reference even though it be less than this after the taxes are taken out.)

4000/156 = 25.64 weeks.

than figure the problems that may arise while doing the swap or after it.......little little things add up......

this doesn't include the 1.5k for the car......

so dam expsensive , i mean they do this all the time should be easy which = charging less than 2g's for installation.

 

the clip costs around 2800 $'s or so .. so there not charging that much considering

 

Also take into account that there is slapping it in and then taking time to do things right and make it look nice so that you have a nice final product that down the line you dont regret doing hastily and cheaply. I slapped one together myself a couple years back...not too bad, but its not nearly as nice as the ones XAT or we turn out. This makes for extra labor time and more money

OMG sr swaps are expensive down there. I bought my black top clip for $2100 and my husband installed it. Too bad we don't live closer because he will do the swap for $800 and he does very good work.

 

2800 includes Silvia body panels that can run upwards of 1k ..

Add in the cost of labor of pulling motors and re-wiring harness and the 3" DP , intake , Exhuast and the price is damn good .

 

That price does not include body panels- just wanted to clarify inaccuracy.
