maxtype240: hey yea mine had a crack in it but it didnt fall tru or anything, its secure now with the bolts but im going to definately remove..

Is this the piece under neath the valve cover? I have a weird noise that happens at 3200rpm,and im not sure if its that making the noise on my SR. If this is the same part, the one under the valve cover, its safe to take off? I am just checking since I have an SR

bryces car about did the same, but he has the s14 ka motor. so the only other thing to go is the rest of his chain guides and his chain tensioner. yep, everything grenaded, the chain is sitting on metal nubs now.
are the sr chain guides the same as the ka? like could i put sr chain guids and tensioner in my ka?

the one on my SR broke a lil while back and luckily it didn't fall into any bad places and do any damage.... but i haven't had a problem since
I called my friend ray that works the parts counter at Autoway Nissan about it when it happened and he said that Nissan had posted a bulliten for them to be removed from the KA engines that came in for any kinda service and said that it would be wise to remove it from the SR as well.
