What: I'm offering to bring in 2 vehicles into the Auto Shop on MacDill AFB:

3 stalls w/ wheels free lifts ($4 p/hr)
3 stalls w/ non-wheels free lifts ($4 p/hr)
7 lift-free stalls ($2 p/hr)
1 A/C refill stall
1 4 wheel Alignment stall (M-F, $45, 1:30 or 2:30 appt only)
Paint Booth ($30 p/day)
Machining Section (resurfacing, presses, grinders, welder)
Wheel Balancing/Wheel Mounting ($5 p/wheel)

All stalls carry full compliment of air & hand tools.
2-3 ASE technicians are on-station to assist.

When: May 1, shop is open at 0900-1800. We will meet at 0845 though.

Where: Meet at McDonalds on corner of Dale Mabry and Interbay Blvd at 0845. I'll proceed in getting you clearance onto base.

Who: 2 vehicle slots at this time. Avoid bringing extra people unless they are there to truly help out.

***Granted, some jobs require professional tools, some don't. I will choose which cars come in at my discretion. Cars with tougher jobs have priority (engine/tranny/diff swaps, brake swaps, engine mods, etc).***

Why: So you learn how to DIY. That money for labor can be spent on more important things in life. (School, family, etc).

I will be there with the S14 to get my rubber fuel lines changed. We may have to drop the tank to do so.......I will have Jerry with me to help out as well.......

oh oh me.My fidenza flywheel is on the way, and i have my stage two clutch and possibly Z32 brakes and master cylinder also.I will need help however with this job.

I got my fidanza flywheel today.and i have my stage 2 clutch.I would love to get those installed asap.and the only thing i need for my brakes is a driverside Z32 caliper.

jesse i understand and thats fine.Just to let you know i will more than likely be bringing another tranny to put in because my synchros are screwed.But what else will i need to bring: clutch, flywheel, tranny, 2 bottles of gear lube.anything else?

Pump to put the fluid in, it helps a lot to have it. Brake parts cleaner, pb blaster if you have it, just in case you need to use it for something when you're down there

MaxType 240: I just wanted to chime in and let you know I think it's great to offer some slots at the base to help people get things installed/fixed on their cars.

In the future I may take you up on one of the slots since I will need a new clutch soon. Lifts make things SO much better.

What clutch are you putting in? ACT, SPEC? Anyways, they should come with the throw-out bearing and alignment tool.

Bring enough GL-4: 5.25 pints to be exact.

Bring 2-3 bottles of brake parts cleaner, I want the flywheel/clutch assembly clean as can be plus we'll clean out that other tranny of yours.

Need penetrating oil.

If all goes right, I say no more than 4hrs on the safe side. Always expect broken or stuck bolts though...
