Default 93'KA24DE into 97' 240sx

I want to a full build-up of a KA motor for my 97' and I have friend who has 93'KA. Will this older motor bolt into my car or do I need a motor from a 95-98.

Default Should

To my knowledge the KA did not change much between 91 and 98. Some cosmetic differences, and possibly OBDII but not positive on that.

It's illegal. Federal laws prevent you from intstalling an older motor into a newer car.
With that said, as long as you use the '97 intake manifold and stuffs on it, you should be able to get away with it. And you'll have a check engine light.

so everyone with redtop sr20det's in tampa are all in trouble.
not like every time you get pulled over the police man is gonna ask you to pop your hood and cross-check VIN numbers.

Just a heads up so I don't get in trouble somehow. I don't know you people. If it was a "how do I gut my catalytic convertor" I'd still preface that with the illegality section.
'97-'98 have a more intricate OBD-2 system than '96 do.

i think its about the same. theres an intake air temp sensor thats on the s13 intake manifold thats not on the s14 manifold. all the egr solenoids are the same. just keep the s14 harness and exhaust manifold and you wont have any problems.
