Default SS Dyno Saves Engine: Good Fuel Practice

I dyno'd last month at SS to see how's things were w/ my KA. I ran 225 w/ my silencers but 225 w/out them. I was running high12s-13s though, so something was amiss.

When Dan and I installed my walbro, we used the OEM sock which was in great condition. However, I think the BG engine flush at XAT did this to my fuel sock:

Needless to say, I replaced this w/ one from Autozone. I'll check it again before my next dyno to make sure there's still no gunk in the system.

Knowing is half the battle,

Jesse

ew.

hopefully the new one will clear it up.

thats why i dont use any of that engine flush bullshit. ive never seen one that works. the only stuff ive used is the stp injector stuff u pour in the tank, and thats not very often. i dont even know if that works but my dad buys it for the family every so often. so its free.

It's no off-the-shelf engine flush. It's commercial grade. The nasty fuel sock is a testament to the flush, it de-gunked what other cleaners didn't. The fuel sock served its purpose and trapped the gunk.

The engine burned out most of the crud during the hour long process. XAT uses it on their SR engines all the time but they said I was the 2nd worst they've ever seen.

Did it burn out the 02 sensor in the process?

A very similer process did that to my CRX. Hope you have a spare laying around.
