Hey SS guys. I need to get my car fixed and I was wondering how much and if you guys could fit me into your schedule.

Little background on the issue:

Was at 1320 tonight, everything running fine, last run of the night, I go and pull my car off to cool down like after every other run. I leave it for a minute to talk to someone from TR and come back and it's idling at 500 rpm, lowest it has dropped to is 400 and it seems to be running really rich(verified by two people by smell). Now, this is my daily driver and completely stock, so I need to get this fixed asap or I would do it myself.

EDIT: Forgot to include that it seems to be laggy and stuttering when I hit the gas at low rpms

 

Honestly man...your probaly going to get an answer like the following... "We can take a look at it, give us a call at the shop."... or "Bring it by the shop and we take a look at it". Or you can just pm Vapor, Mattback or SlowKyle(sp?). You probaly wont get a price quote on a thread. Good luck.

 

Yeah, i'm gunna IM the IM name once they open. But thought I would give some history so if they see the thread they will know a bit before looking at it

 

Just by any chance have you checked the basics? Plugs, wires, fuel filter, and other little maintance things. Maybe you just need to do a little tune up.

 

Talked to them on IM, honestly i'm like 80% sure it's a boost leak from the symptoms, that and before the one run it was running fine, perfectly even. But I have not the knowledge nor time to check it out myself

 

Lol, already talked to scott, got lucky I guess, just waiting to find out when would be a good time to bring it in. But i'll give it a call if I don't get a response soon

 

Before you leave to bring it in, at the very least check the plug wires (the set of six thick wires of all the same color that plug in to the engine in two rows of 3 wires). Make sure that they are plugged in tight. You CAN troubleshoot these by turning the motor on and pulling them out, listening, and plugging them in one at a time.

If you have time to mess around with IMing and Posting here, then you have 5 minutes to check the plug wires.

did plugs, wires, check distributor. Messed with MAF TPS, all sorts of stuff.
