Default 1998 200sx se-r

i was interested in a 1998 200sx se-r i saw on autotrader--but the price was a lil high according to kbb.com the guy was askin 8500 for the car and private party is 5840--while retail is 7500--just wanted to see what some people thought of the price---oh yeah the car is bone stock too--but very very clean

If you plan on modding it I would steer clear of the 1998 model year. Nissan did not put a factory lsd in the 98's and the ecus/emissions equipment is different from the 95-97 and the ecu is not able to be reprogrammed as far as I know. If you are buying it just for a daily driver with no intentions of modding then it is a great car. It is just a pain for that year if you actually want to mod it.

i was lookin more for what people thought about the price --it seemed kinda high comin from a private seller ?????

that is high. My brother's GA16 97 200sx only got $3100. Very clean, 90k miles, auto, 16" konig rated R's. $8500 should get you a lot more than an SE-R in the 98 model year. I doubt 98 maximas are even that high!

yes, He is asking too much. I was going to sell my 97 with the turbo kit and everything for $7k. $8500 for a stock 98 is way overpriced in my honest opinion.

Price is way to high. Like Boostin said, get a 95-97. Better car with LSD and computer. They can be had any where between $3-5K for a very nice one. Oh, stay away from Black, nissan F'd the paint on them.
