S14 Undriven for 4 years questions
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I purchased a 1995 240sx that has been sitting underneath a tree for about 4 years now. I talked to the last person who drove it and they said everything worked properly when it was parked. Besides the live rats living in the engine compartment, it looks really nice after the first cleanup. Much to my surprise after putting a jump box on it it fired right up. I turned it off immediately so that I could change the fluids before really running the car. Changed the fluids, and poured in some fresh gas and started it, letting it run for a few minutes and get up to temperature, the AC works and all of the guages except for the gas guage. I went to move it out for a test drive and it wouldnt go anywhere when I let out on the clutch. Since the throttle cable was frozen I figured maybe that the slave cyl. might be as well, but I checked it and it moves back and forth just like its suposed to. After trying more gears I got it to move slightly in reverse, but it wont go anywhere now except in 4th gear. Any idea's? The slave moves just as it's supposed to so I suppose I will have to try and pull the tranny, but what should I look for?
Thanks in advance for your help.

*UPDATE*
I jumped into the car and was trying to get it to move and put it into 4th gear and started letting the clutch out to rock the car back and forth, after a few rocks, I put it into reverse and it grabbed and out I went, I put it into first and drove it out of the parking lot, normal gear changes, pulled up to a light and sat waiting. When I went to pull away, nothing again, no gears at all, not even 4th. Then I kept pumping the pedal and putting it into 4th and finally it grabbed again, I had to launch the car i 4th, but once I got rolling again, the gears worked normally. I drove it around for just a few minutes more not wanting to get too far away from my shop and I even got it to bark a second gear nicely. I pull up to another light and it dies again. I go through the process again, pumping etc. til it grabs and I have to launch in 4th gear again. I made it back to the shop and in front while I was waiting it died again. By the way, when it dies, you can put it right into gear without the clutch, no grinding or anything. WTF is going on here? LOL

na they have exedy clutch kits (which are very reliable) which make the OEM clutch (Dakin). You just gotta be smart when shopping on eBay; only buy from positive feedback sellers. I love ebay, i've only been jipped once and i told the dude that my lawyer would contact him, and he gave me a full refund [and i kept the blown ass speakers lol]. Yea, but if you go name brand from a respected seller... you should be in fairly safe hands!

well i dunno maybe i shoud update for jay.
he brought it to my friends shop to put it up in the air and i hoped in the car and we raised it up went thru the gears it was okay put it in 5th and got on it and let off and the whole car was shaking. my friend asked if he wanted to change the tranny fluid cause it might help and was thinking it was either really bad bushings or tranny. as soon as he removed the drainplug we saw metal hit the oil drain pan and then what seemed to look like Chocolate milk ATF. so the tranny was screwed.
