Default Engine Mount Installation

My tranny mount broke (poor abused thing) so I'm gonna change out the engine mounts while I'm at it.

Question: I'd like to disconnect I/C piping, remove STB, and jack the engine up from the bottom - will this be enough to swap motor mounts?

I dont think you'll be able to secure the motor with just one jack...unless you lay a 2x4 across it, but be careful where you put it....if you have a hoist, you could just attach it and lift a few inches.

The 2x4 was implied, good call though. I'll be doing this at the shop, so engine hoist is readily available too. I was thinking it'd be easier but thinking through it, I'm leaning towards the hoist.

Looks like we'll have a "Fix it Day" when I get these parts in

jesse, maybe by loosening the crossemmber bolts allowing it to 'sag' you will probably be able to do it!

Solid motor mounts?!?! In city roads like Tampa, my car would fall apart. I hear the Turbo Boss mounts rattle your teeth I'm getting the Cusco variety. If I'm going to upgrade, might as well upgrade I'll rely on the NISMO tranny mount though, other options are ridicously priced.
