head unit fun
i had a lot of fun installing this head unit [/sarcasm] Eventually we gave up and moved the AC controls and stuck it there, only to find out that there are little clarion amps powering all the speakers... because of that I have a great head unit, but no sound until i guess i rewire things? Anyone else run into this?

no idea on wiring, but i like the headunit there better than stock location.
PS: i like how your motor sits in your engine bay slanted like that, pimpin.

i helped do it, and i would like it alot better in the stock location too, but the little plastic piece is all broken already and it wont allow even the regular size din mounting bracket... we are gunna fab some kinda pannel where the cd player is supposed to be and i am gunna lengthen the wires and run the ac controls in the dinky ass center console...
but our real question is if anyone knows what the deal is w/ the clarion amps under the rear speaker deck... i took the fuse tester and the speaker wire wont make it light after those clarion amps or whatever they are... so are we gunna have to rewire the whole thing or is there some other fix? btw the car is a SE so i guess it is top of the line system...

just kiddin, looks good, get some thick plastic and make a custom dash filler for your ac in the bottom part now.

i was talking with dizin and were thinking a gauge panel and maybe a push button start down there, and just relocating the A/C controls somewhere.. probably center console.
