maybe off topic but it angers me when people think they're the shit for flaming someone and than on top of all that they don't even know the facts themselves (earlier posts) I try to look for something informative and all I see is a bunch of shit and yip yap.
BTW the rb26dett swap can be done clean for under 8 grand if u have the basic knowledge. Mckinneymotorsports makes a downpipe to keep the twin turbos, and also an install kit w/ mounts and a driveshaft i do believe they also have rb25 trannys for 1500 or so. All you need is that and a full clip from an r32, r33 or r34. A clip can be found for 4-5 grand and the extra parts can be had for about 3 if im not mistaken.
Any other USEFUL information would be appriciated.
thanks,
Matt

when you do it for 8 grand, let us know
what clutch do you plan on doing?
are you going to replace the necessary items when the motor is out? (timing belt, water pump, timing belt tensioner, front cam seals, front main seal, rear main seal, exhaust manifold gasket, turbocharget gaskets)
all new belts and hoses as well, what are you doing for a radiator solution? the last time I checked the R radiators do not fit in S chassis without extreme cutting because of the height of the radiator. electric fans will cost you some money as well because you're not fitting a factory clutch style fan in there. custom a/c lines are also needed, as well as custom power steering lines to make it line up perfectly. or custom brackets and use the s chassis pumps and lines. all that to keep the stock sidemount intercooler, too ?
I feel that a 26 is quite an acheivement for someone with only basic knowledge!!
