I heard this was only for z cars, old and new.......No other cars were allowed? is that true?

i also heard that they MAY allow other nissans but they will park seperately and they won't be able to enter the show itself which is again only for z's.

No disrespect to anyone, that's a lot of crap as far as i am concerned. This is directed at noone in particular. I am just stating my opinion. I heard things through Rob Maddrey and the Suncoats President about the takes and why other cars were not allowed and all..........and it just basically doesn't make sense. Some of them are afraid that god forbid, a guy with a sr swap can beat there brand new 350z or something....among other similar reasons......

Once again, no disrespect to anyone. I am just stating my opinion. I hope they let other cars in, even if they won't allow them in the show. Thats still something. I would like to go but not if i am not allowed......

Since Jim and I have been part of the planning comittee for Z Fest we have jointly kept everyone in the Bay Area up to date on its developments.

Since, Jim and I were outvoted on allowing non z's into the festival we had to let those non z driving parties know...ie people like my buddy Rinku.

In not allowing or endorsing non Z's we have alienated quite a few qualified and interested Nissan enthusists such as my good friend Rinku who helps me organize our monthly Nissan meets.

Its ashame as I would personaly like to have anyone who is interested in the Z cars and or S-13/S-14 chassis in attendance...The Z32, R32/33, and the s-13/s-14 share large amount of parts.

I'm feelin the love between you two. Perhaps you can park right next to one another as a sign of good Nissan companionship. Not trying to offend but it is nice to see the Nissan community getting along so well.

I agree, if not this year they should consider allowing other Nissans that you guy's have put alot of blood, sweat & tears into. Yes, it's called Z fest but at least let others come and display their Nissan's in a seperate section. As I understand it there is going to be room for like 500 cars.

Yes, there is going to be more than enough room. However, in a comittee vote it was decided to only allow Z cars in...oh well.

Down Shift, ECZA, and Suncoast will possibly be throwing a large event here in Tampa, around October that will allow everyone to be part of it.

All, that aside for those of us Z driver's Z Fest will be a great time. There has been alot of great ideas and planning thrown around thus far, and I have to commend all of my fellow planners on working together extremely well to create a great Z event.

Well I have to admit I am one of the ones that voted to keep it Z's only, non-Z's aren't banned from the place just not part of the show and display, there will be parking for non Z's it will just not be in the middle of the Z's, we will have the Z's together divided into Car Show participants and attendees. I don't think a 350Z owner would be afraid to lose to a sr swap as they wouldn't be in the same judging category.

Personally it is a Z gathering and not a Nissan gathering if the Silvia/240SX/Sentra.... and others want to participate in such a meeting then they should organize one as we did down here last November when we had folks from Tampa and Orlando attend http://www.sfzcc.com/Events/2003/NissanMeet/ it was a blast but it was billed as a Nissan meet mainly 240SX/Sentra/Z's.

It was such a success we will probably do it again this year.

I am happy if they just let us join you. Even if we have to part away in Nissan Misc. section away from ALL Z's. That's still an improvement. Not allowing us at all will only tell us how SUPRA like you Zer's can be...........NO OFFENSE.....my opinion only.....

So are you guys allowing us to be in a separate section but not enter the judging contest. I can still live with that and would like to attend if that's the case.

If they don't allow us to park in a separate section and not let us attend, than i guess we won't attend.

Anyone with final word on this......
