um ok. QR motor itself is a great platform. split block at the crank centerline. nicer casting finish than SR. but balance shaft + 2.5 + open deck leaves things to be desired. also drive by wire makes tune a bit more tricky (as nissan is moving more toward CAN) as seen in the new Z and newer maxima.
props to se-r crewz" is very typical of why the se-R (current generation) isnt seen as such as equals to the RWD SR and Z groups. the promising motor is stuck in a saloon chassis with "now" styling to appeal to h.s and just post h.s buyers.
as for the altima, that car is not going to go anywhere fast, just relax and enjoy the fact that you have a NEW CAR that doesnt smell like gas, is hot, or that you have to worry about changing the oil every 1200 miles, resetting valve lash, retorquing arp headstuds, blowing off ic pipes, etc etc. just drive it. and maintain it. put some smart street tune springs and dampers. maybe toss a set of swaybars on it and enjoy it.
if you want something fast. start with a better platform.
