Default Coolant Temp Sensor vs HP...

On Fresh alloy somewhere a guy had a few dynographs posted of his S13 coupe twincam. He had returned the car to stock and was dynotesting each upgrade..

Of course his first stop was to basic maintence.

His torque curve is nothin till around 4K rpm and then it jumps quite a bit higher but is never where it should be.. At the higher rpm's it moves a lil better, but comeon, first and second gear my singlecam would slaughter it from a 2Krpm roll...

Reason I bring this up is that I feel my twin cam is lethargic, particularly in the lower revs (sub 4000) as well as I have cooling system issues anyway.. Do you think that this sensor would have the same effect on me as it did this other guy?

I'm thinking of throwing it on the dyno to see if my chart has that "Vtec" like power spike, and when freshalloy comes back online I'll post a copy of the charts from there for you to see..

nope...

Theres an exhaust but i'm betting that its a cheapo muffler on the stock piping, its quite quiet, so i'm guessing its real cheap

Interesting......because whe n Ifirst got my car it had a CEL for a bad Coolant temp sensor and a bad primary 02 sensor, but I took it up to Autozone and had them reset the ecu. ANd have yet seen the CEL light come on. I wonder if I replace them if I'll notice a difference

I know this car also threw a code. but I dont know what that code was, its in the therad i believe..
