Default DDAY Suspsneison results, engine results

I'm not happy enough with them.

i'm probably going to a 12/10 setup and a non adjustable damper. the car isn't quite flat enough for me, and when i was chasing tony and erik around at the invite only portion of dday it was obvious that i needed a little more spring to keep up with them ( the whole lack of power thing, hahahaha)

i was driving the ka like an ae86, once i figured out i could keep my right foot into the firewall most of the time, i did alot better.

had lots of fun.

how are everyone's KA's and SR's doing after the event ??

It really is a miracle that my car showed up to DDAY. For some reason the oil pump became unclogged and sprayed oil out when we were experiementing with our KA24 SSPL ROM TUNE. As soon as scott saw this, we put an oil filter on the car, and it started right up and ran fine. I dont' call it the Wolverine for nothin!!!!

this was the motor that ran for about 10-15 minutes with no oil pressure what so ever. quite simply amazing.

oh well, they say you want a race motor to be a little bit loose. after the no oil extravaganza it definitely was!!!

I must have done 10-12 laps at a time towards the end, and the coolant never boiled over, the clutch never gave out (ACT), and the car never gave me many problems, besides my E BRAKE breaking!!! Think "Salute your Shorts" ' this thing just fell apart ' That was the funniest ever. the stupid thing's busted now.

The suspension arms did alright, everything did a good job, the spacers made everything nice and stiff, and my makeshift SSPooL did a great job of getting both tires turning at once. But I need more springrate.

I'm either going to sell the HE's (used for like 3 months now, 1 drift event, 2 autocrosses, 9 months warranty still!!!) for 900 firm, or put them on the 300SX and get different coilovers for the wolverine. They've been cleaned and sprayed down with clearner and lubricant every weekend.

arghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

my bonestock ka, cone filter, stock clutch, coolant not changed in (embarrassingly) a long time, did quite well though a more skilled person would have given it a more thorough beating. the rear tires have little wear due to the magic blacktop <3. the st sways and the fstb are definately needing some spring/strut combo and an lsd to make things transition better and keep the roll to a min.

Matt . I would seriously suggest some of the JIC FLT-A2 RS . They are the hot shit "over there" .

Alot of people are actually doing the custom Tein Springs as well . You could always just go stiffer on your HE's since you already have them . Tein says 4kg over factory is fine for the most part .
