Thumbs down bought a 240

Ok. Check this out. On Tuesday i bought an 89 240. The place, ill not name names:::coughMETICULOUSMOTORScough::: sold it to me saying that there was nothing wrong with it. Certainly it doesnt have a cracked blocked. Or does it. The fucking thing is all kinds of broke now. Its been 4 days and we now know that i was sold a car with a cracked block. So Im asking what you guys think i should do. Or what i even can do. Keep in mind im on a strict budget right now. So Im open to all suggestions. Ill even sell it to someone who just wants to do a swap. The interior is damn near perfect. It still runs but not for long. So let me know what you guys think i should do. thanks

how much did you buy it for? call me at XAT Racing 813.875.7223.

if anything, we can put a new motor in it for now so youre back on th eroad. im sure we can work something out. im usually pretty stocked on stock 240 motors. youre best bet if yorue on a budfget is to go with a twin cam swap. that way, you have more power, and it wont break the bank.

go with the twin cam. my friend had the swap done and the difference is substantial. Stick with XAT Secret Services( matt) Took like four months to start and quit a dual cam swap but Taylor stepped in and finished it hes a good guy.

That engines is a good buy, tons of torque and can handle about 10 psi on stock internals and minor fuel adjustments(in case u want to embarrass some of the six thousand SR20 swaps in tampa)

Excuse me? If this is who i think it is, You need to tell your friend to get his facts straight.

TAYLOR AND I BOTH FOUGHT WITH THAT STUPID CAR BECUASE THE MOTOR SET HE BROUGHT WAS JUNK. TO TOP IT OFF HE WOULDNT BRING US THE PARTS WE NEEDED TO GET IT RUNNING, WE HAD TO GO GET THE PARTS IN OUR SPARE TIME !?!??!

The only number we had for his brother Rob was a # for his work, which was closed in the evenings when we would work.

IF you have any problems you can bring it up with me personally, don't go running your mouth about something you have no idea about.

Default meh

meh when matt did the SOHC to DOHC swap to my car it didnt take him that long even though it had some problems I think it took him like a week and thats with finding the motor for me fixing all the little bugs and shit and he did it in his spare time...

so there must have been some major complications with your friends motor stuffs
