Default Turbo ? for SR-Scott ?

turbine specs:T28 .86 A/R housing 79 trim wheel

compressor specs: T3 .60 A/R housing 60 trim wheel flow: 33lb/min

I've got a line on a cheap turbo practically brand new for my coupe with SR....

Specifically what would my advantages and disadvantages be with this turbo as compared to a s15 turbo?

I believe these specs are of a GTI-R turbo...

little more lag for a little more power VS S15 T28. I think i'd rather do T28 with a mild cam upgrade, myself, but thats my opinion
I was thinking the same thing myself sir

the .86 housing makes it slow to come on boost. full boost is 9 psi only arrives by 4000 RPM. but at 9 psi she'll do alomst 230.

i think you can get just as much if not more power out of a s15 turbine imho

The T28 can be run to 14PSI, thats where it starts to lose efficiency afaik. I have seen a GTIR powered car run 16psi +. T28s with Cams is a nice setup among the FWD SR guys, i imagine it would be a nice Torquey setup on an S13. and with tuning from SS i imagine you could make a little more power. us FWD guys have shit for ECU tuning. Sabri has a GTIR powered Sentra that ran 12s when it was running, and i think it had more to give iirc. so it will do decent i would imagine. Nothing like a GT30 series though. those turbos rock.
