Default Florida Z Fest 04' -- April 16th-18th -- Orlando, FL

Last year we held the inaugural Florida Z Fest in Orlando, Fl with great success. In total we had over 80 Z's of various model and vintage, from across the state. It turned out to be a great event where many of us were able to meet our online counterparts from across Florida. This year we are at it again.

The ECZA, SFZCC, CFZCC, Suncoast Z Assoc, and several other Florida Z orginizations are all uniting to hold the event jointly again this year. As president of the Florida chapter of the ECZA (www.ecza-fl.com) I am one of the main event cordinators, along with Jim Peters of Suncoast, and Ryan Pauley of the SFZCC. We are looking to make the event bigger and better with a target goal of 150 Z cars! The event is also open to other Nissans, with the exception that there will be no judging categories for non Z cars.

The event will be spread out over Friday evening April 16th through Sunday morning April 18th. The primary show will be held on Saturday the 17th, and will include judging and award trophies and plaques. We are also looking to incorporate a dyno day, as well as poker run and other auto x style events. Target price of entry is $10, spectating will be free. There will be many Nissan specific vendors present, along with several magazines including; Down Shift Magazine (www.DownShiftOnline.com), RPM Magazine (www.rpmregistries.com) and Sport Z Magazine (www.SportZMagazine.com)

Tentatively, the event will be held at the Gator's Dockside on Sr436, near the Orlando Intl Airport (MCO). Hotel accomodations will be available at the near by Mariott. Caravans to the event will be departing from South Florida, Tampa, Gainesville, Tallahasse, and Jax.

As more information is finalized I will make it available here. I encourage everyone who has an interest in the NIssan community to attend, as some of the very best Z cars in the state will be on show. As mentioned before Maximas, S-13/S-14's, Sentra's, etc are all welcome and encouraged to attend as well!

Below are some pics from last years Z Fest.

Last year there were quite a few Z31's. In my opinion the nicest one was Steve (Zcrazy) 1984 Turbo, his son Jeremy is driving it and the car is immaculate. Steve also has an immaculate low mileage Z32 and a track model 350Z.

I do not recall seeing one last year, however there were enough cars there that it is possible I just missed it. We did have a 70's era skyline, that was pretty interesting.
