Hi. I'm looking to get a 240sx maybe se, I'd just like your opinions on wheather or not I should get an s13 or s14. If I were to get an s13 It'd be a 91 or later for the dohc engine, and about any year more likely 95 for the s14. I'd like the reasons you would choose one or the other. I'm personally going to drag, and daily driver, some turns, but no drifting. Atleast I have no plans for drifting right now.

In addition any tips for finding them other then autotrader. And what I should look to be wrong or going like i know i should get it compression checked.

Oh yeah and I know theres a fair amount of weight difference between the two. But I'm not really worrried about that.

very generally speaking the S13 will give you more performance value and the S14 will bemore creature comforts...

As far as not finding them on autotrader.com... Look in local newspaper classified, drive around to dealerships.. maybe go to auctions.. If its not on autotrader it generally is NOT easy to find...

I kinda like the comfort of the s14, and that might be why I'm also looking at it. And yes I can find a few on autotrader, but I'd like a few more places. Actually What I'm really trying to say is I need to find them somewhere it would be pretty much stock. So I can get a feel for it. Maybe test drive it. Not planning on buying it from the public, My grandfather used to be a dealer, so he has a friend who he buys the cars we want from dealer auctions, Then sells to my family for a lil more then he paid. He said a 90 240 goes for $350 and a 95 for $1300 Running good condition under 150k miles probably at about 100k. I would just go and drive them there, But I'm not allowed in its dealers only.

Lets just say, That if the money I should be getting in a little while comes in. It should be respectable. If not It'll be another stock 240sx.

But I wanna sit in a couple and get a feel for them. Before I just buy one.I heard that the s14's had more stability at high speeds, anyone know if thats true, and to what extent?

Oh and for the s13's I'm Only looking at the fastbacks. I think they look nicer, But I'm biased, cause a freind of mine owns an s13 fastback, But It's modified with the sr20det so you'd think I could sit in it to just get a feel for it. But it has s14 seats so it doesn't feel the same.
