Have a stock 240 engine that I want to rebuild (or have rebuilt) for boost, nothing too silly. Who's good at that sort of stuff? Any comments / suggestions on the idea of KA-Turbo ?

 

Secret Services will take care of you. Do you truly understand the costs of such a venture? Go low mile KA not rebuilt and make decent numbers.

 

I know what a turbo & manifold run on ebay, but motor I am clueless on, that's why I'm asking.

theres a website on 240sx.org with a guy who had stock internals, just bigger injectors and ran with 280hp no problems

 

yeah its done all the time. even jesse's car has like 120 or 140k? and i know countless others. just compression check/leak down check, u might be good to go. my motor just hit 100k 3 days ago, i dont plan on rebuilding anytime soon. however that spare block in my garage will eventually get built.

but if u are shooting for more than 275-300whp on a stock motor be weary if u have lots of miles. for 230-270whp, you should be fine as long as ur giving it enough fuel and got it running right.
